Privacy Policy

This policy explains what StockTheta collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never see or store the password itself).
- Holdings you enter: tickers, share counts and average cost, used only to calculate income ideas for you.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer ID, plan and subscription status. Card numbers go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store them.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) kept for security and troubleshooting.
We don't connect to your brokerage, and we don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in.
How we use it
To run your account, show your income ideas, process subscriptions, send account emails (such as password resets), keep the service secure, and respond to support requests. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it except with the providers below or when the law requires.
Service providers
- Stripe: payments and subscription management.
- Railway: application hosting and database.
- Cloudflare: domain, DNS and email forwarding.
- Resend: sending account emails.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account is open. Email support@stocktheta.com to export or delete your data; we delete account and holdings data within 30 days of a verified request, except billing records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt, connections use HTTPS, and each customer's holdings are visible only to them. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. StockTheta is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will email you or show a notice in the app first.
